Biomedical Engineering – Cardiovascular Modelling
Mirko’s research is focused on the development of patient-specific models of Aortic Dissections to support the clinical decision-making process.
Mirko obtained the BSc and the MSc in Biomedical Engineering cum laude from Politecnico di Milano (Italy). After his graduation, he spent one year and a half as researcher at the Department of Chemistry, Materials and Chemical Engineering “Giulio Natta” of Politecnico di Milano. In 2015 he did an internship at Baxter International Inc. in the R&D Engineering team for the support and improvement of medical products already on the market. From September 2015, he joined the Department of Mechanical Engineering of University College London as PhD student and Early Stage Researcher within the Marie Curie European Training Network “VPH-CaSE”.
