Mitral Valve Experiental Simulation

Research outline

To develop a test rig that can be integrated in a hydromechanical heart simulator (“ViVitro Machine” for short), allowing to simulate patient specific MV dysfunctions and assessing potential therapies. The rig will be able to reproduce dysfunctions including: Broken chordae; Abnormal PM position; Ventricular and annular dilations; Broken leaflets.
