Read moreThis role sits within the Department’s professional services team that focuses on administrative support for the staffing needs of the department. The post holder will assist in the provision comprehensive and effective HR and Staffing Service to all members of staff within Mechanical Engineering. This will include supporting the Operations Manager in liaison with the research & finance team for grant supported staff. The role holder is expected to manage their duties effectively and without close supervision. This role sits within the Department’s professional services team that focuses on administrative support for the staffing needs of the department. The post holder will assist in the provision comprehensive and effective HR and Staffing Service to all members of staff within Mechanical Engineering. This will include supporting the Operations Manager in liaison with the research & finance team for grant supported staff.
The post holder will also participate in the rota to cover reception during lunches and routine absences of the permanent receptionist.
This is a fixed term role until Friday 5th November 2021.
The successful candidate will be educated to A level or equivalent professional experience.
They will have proven ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy with attention to details, have good time management skills, and must possess the ability to prioritise and manage own workload.
