SUMMARY:Indian Port cities in the Anthropocene – lecture by Sunil Amrith
DESCRIPTION: On the afternoon of Wednesday January 22nd, there will be workshop with the Centre for the Study of South Asia and the Indian Ocean World’s first distinguished Visiting Professor, Sunil Amrith. Sunil is Professor of History at Harvard University who has written a lot about Oceanic histories, particularly in relation to the Indian Ocean. As part of his visit he will:

workshop a recent publication (attached) with PhD students, ECRs, and staff working on adjacent fields on the afternoon of Wednesday 22nd.
