SUMMARY:London Ocean Group Meeting – Summer Special
DESCRIPTION: 2018 SUMMER SPECIAL
Thursday July 5th, 2-5pm, Royal Geographical Society
This is a whole afternoon of talks and tea and cake, with four speakers instead of two and a much broader outlook. It’s the best opportunity of the year to meet a wide cross-section of the LOG community, and to hear about ocean-related issues in the wider world. Don’t miss out! These are the speakers:

Alyssa Gilbert (Grantham Institute) “Building a plastics bridge between the public and academia”
Kaori O’Connor(UCL Anthropology) “Consuming the Sea: the Ocean, Feasting and the Food Quest”
Ilana Wainer (São Paulo) “Changes in the South Atlantic circulation from the 20th into the 21st century”
Seth Gustafson (UCL Geography) ‘We Dredge Because It Doesn’t Work’: Political Ecology and Sediment Dredging
