Research Outline

The improvement of the efficiency of new and existing vessels throughout minor inexpensive hull modifications


Blanca is a B.Eng and M.Eng in Naval Architecture with a high interest in ship design. Her first placements took place in a submarine factory as a trainee and in the department of Thermal and Fluid Engineering from the Technical University of Cartagena in Spain as a research engineer. After relocating to the UK, Blanca joined Houlder Ltd. where she worked as a Naval Architect for 2 years in the Ship Design Consultancy and one year in the Advanced Analysis team. During these years, she took part in a variety of projects from the Offshore, Ship Design and Renewable Energy sectors. These projects required her to provide support for vessel design, life time extension, vessel maintenance and R&D.
