About Dr Mehdi Baghdadi
Dr Mehdi Baghdadi is a Lecturer in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at University College London. Prior to joining UCL in 2018, he was a Senior Lecturer in Faculty of Engineering and Science at the University of Greenwich. Mehdi received his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Cambridge, in which he designed and built a HTS superconducting synchronous motor.
Dr Baghdadi’s interests include power electronics, specialized electric machines, and applied superconductivity. He has extensive research experience in multiphysics modeling and optimisation techniques.
