Professor Emad Mooendarbary
Research Outline
In vitro models of Alzheimer’s disease
About Sofian Lasli
Soufian obtained his BSc in Life Sciences Engineering and MSc in Bioengineering from Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne (EPFL, Switzerland). He conducted his Master thesis at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in the lab of Prof. Khademhosseini.
His research areas mostly include tissue engineering, biosensors and microfluidic systems. He joined Prof. Moeendarbary’s lab at UCL as a PhD student to work on the area of Alzheimer’s disease. For this purpose, he will both employ in vivo (using transgenic mice) and in vitro systems to investigate the biomechanical signatures related to this disease.
