Identification of the neural mechanisms that govern cardiac stability
I received my Msc degree in technical medicine from the university of Twente in 2012. For my dissertation I investigated whether the waveform of ventricular fibrillation can predict shock sucess during out-of-hospital cardiac arrests. In 2013, I joined the department of mechanical engineering to investigate the cardiac signals in higher spatial detail to study the interactions between the nervous system and the heart to elucidate the physiological systems that underly cardiac stability.
