Refrigeration, heat pump

Research Outline

Vortex tube and absorption refrigeration: In particular, the research focuses on the incorporation of a vortex tube in refrigeration and heat pump systems, and establishing a systematic procedure for coupling the vortex tube and thermal systems.

Brief biography

I am a 3rd year PhD student in the Department of Mechanical Engineering of UCL. I also obtained a BSc degree (major: Thermal and Power Engineering) at Henan University of Science Technology in 2010, and an MSc degree (major: Refrigeration and Cryogenics Engineering) at Zhejiang University in 2013.

Since 2010, I have published several papers in the International Journal of Heat and Mass Transfer and Applied Thermal Engineering, and made oral presentations at the 10th IIR Gustav Lorentzen Natural Working Fluids Conference (Delft, the Netherland, 2012), 11th IIR Gustav Lorentzen Natural Working Fluids Conference (Hangzhou, China, 2014) and Purdue Compressor/Refrigeration and Air Conditioning and High Performance Buildings Conferences (West Lafayette, USA, 2014). I have also been granted 10 Chinese inventions and applied for other 8 Chinese inventions.
