Together with Prof. Simon Walker-Samuel (UCL Centre for Advanced Biomedical Imaging), we have established the REANIMATE research group at UCL, which brings together a team of mathematical modellers, medical imagers, biophysicists and cancer biologists to explore tissue function and cancer therapies. Specifically, we are using mathematical modelling as a tool to extrapolate between high resolution ex vivo and in vivo imaging, providing a multiscale tool to better understand tumour behaviours and treatment strategies. Our primary focus in on blood flow, drug delivery and immunotherapy predictions, including the role that tissue solid mechanics plays.

Our postdocs and students working in this area include Paul SweeneyClaire Walsh and Hannah West.
