What we provide our students

The next batch of projects projects will be undertaken by groups of 5-7 students, in Oct 2018-May 2019.

The focus of the projects is on design, build and test. In addition to the technical content, almost all the projects have to justify the market niche, propose a business case etc.

We provide our students with:

A budget of £500/student for materials, travel, equipment etc. Many of the groups not only apply for but also secure competitive grants or sponsorship deals to top this up.
A faculty mentor with appropriate technical background to the design problem
Lab space, testing/fabrication equipment, computational software, access to student machine shop (student-led), access to professional machine shop (technician-led).
