Five MSc/PhD students will each give short presentations on their thesis work, and these are the speakers:

Juan Estrella-Martínez (Bangor University):

“Half a millennia worth of climate history contained in a handful of shells”

Rachel Squire (Royal Holloway): “Living and working on the seafloor: The US Navy, Oceanography, and Cold War Geopolitics”

Tim Hedgeland (Imperial): “Location, Location, Location: Estimating the Input of Land-Sourced Oceanic Plastic”

Yannis Karmpadakis (Imperial): “Wave modelling for engineering applications”

Maryam Illas (UCL): “Propagation of uncertainties in the spatial distribution of temperatures to ENSO uncertainties using multi-resolution lattice kriging”
